Chandler Moore Sues Former Manager and Maverick City Music CEO for Alleged Financial Misconduct
Popular gospel singer and worship leader Chandler Moore has reportedly filed a lawsuit against his former manager and Maverick City Music co-founder and CEO Norman Gyamfi, over alleged financial misconduct and breach of trust.
According to multiple reports, the Man of Your Word singer claims that serious discrepancies were discovered in the handling of his finances, earnings, and intellectual property rights during his professional relationship with Gyamfi. The lawsuit reportedly accuses Gyamfi of mismanaging funds and contractual agreements connected to Moore’s music and personal brand, leading the artist to seek legal action.
This development comes shortly after Moore and fellow worship leader Naomi Raine publicly announced their departures from Maverick City Music, marking a new chapter in their respective ministries and solo careers.
“These last two years I’ve been locked in on what really matters in my life and in my career,” Moore shared on Instagram. “It’s been scary at times, but it’s also been full of fresh vision and real excitement about the future. With that, I’ve made the bittersweet decision to end my relationship with Maverick City Music.”
Not long after the announcement, news broke that Moore had taken legal steps against Gyamfi. The lawsuit reportedly alleges that Gyamfi’s actions resulted in the loss of millions of dollars in royalties and other financial entitlements.
As of now, representatives for both parties have not made detailed public statements about the ongoing case. However, the situation has drawn significant attention from the gospel community, with many expressing concern over the impact such disputes may have on the image of modern worship collectives.
Chandler Moore, known for his soul-stirring performances and collaborations with artists like Dante Bowe, Kirk Franklin, and Elevation Worship, remains one of the most influential voices in contemporary gospel music. His decision to pursue legal action underscores the growing emphasis among Christian artists on protecting their creative and financial rights in an evolving music industry.
While details of the court proceedings continue to unfold, Moore has maintained a focus on his solo career and spiritual journey, expressing hope that his next season will be one of freedom, clarity, and renewed purpose.
