Deeper Life Ministry Refutes False Report Attributed to Pastor W.F. Kumuyi

The Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) has issued a strong statement refuting a false report circulating online and attributed to its General Superintendent, Pastor William F. Kumuyi.

In a release posted through the Ministry’s official communication channels, DCLM described the publication — originally shared by an unidentified platform known as Ibomfocus — as “malicious, entirely false, and fabricated.”

The viral report, titled “America is Trying to Steal Our Natural Resources; There is No Christian Genocide in Nigeria, Says Pastor Kumuyi,” was dismissed by the church as a complete invention with no connection to the respected preacher.

“Pastor Kumuyi did not at any time address a press conference or make the aforementioned statement in Lagos,” the Ministry said. “He has been away from Nigeria for a considerable length of time, holding programmes in the Oceania region and the Far East.”

Pastor Kumuyi Focused on the Gospel, Not Politics

The statement further clarified that Pastor Kumuyi has consistently devoted his ministry to the preaching of the Gospel and has never involved himself in political commentary or activities.

“Pastor Kumuyi is well known for focusing entirely on preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. He does not dabble into politics, as the false story seemed to suggest,” the release added.

The Ministry emphasized that its mission remains centered on evangelism, discipleship, and community impact, not political engagement.

Ministry Issues Warning Against False Publications

In the closing part of the statement, DCLM warned individuals and platforms who habitually spread misinformation or attempt to draw its leaders into political controversies to refrain from such actions.

“The Ministry warns all those bent on mischief by seeking to drag our General Superintendent into politics, or fabricating stories in his name, to desist from such ventures,” the statement read. “In the future, any such activity may attract appropriate action.”
