Apostle Emmanuel Iren Announces Plan for 50 Free Schools in Nigeria
During the second service on Sunday, Apostle Emmanuel Iren, lead pastor of Celebration Church International (CCI), shared an inspiring vision with the congregation: the establishment of at least 50 free schools across Nigeria.
He began by appreciating members who have been faithfully partnering with the church, especially in the planting of new branches. He joyfully announced that CCI Calabar was officially launched last week, drawing a remarkable turnout. “Money will not hinder our evangelism,” Apostle Iren prayed, underscoring the church’s focus on Kingdom expansion.
Speaking on the free school initiative, he revealed that no offering had yet been raised for the first school, which is expected to begin operations within the next week or two. Interestingly, members and well-wishers have already been reaching out, eager to know how they can support the project.
Apostle Iren made it clear:
-
The long-term goal is to build at least 50 free schools in different parts of Nigeria.
-
Volunteers will be needed, especially teachers willing to dedicate their time and skills.
-
The schools will have entry requirements to ensure they serve students who are truly committed to learning.
-
The mission is simple: “We want to help serious people whose only disadvantage in life is finance.”
He described the initiative as a revolutionary move, trusting God that the schools would rank among the best in the country despite being tuition-free. He also encouraged members who have run similar initiatives to share their experiences, so the church can learn and improve the project.
Apostle Iren closed by stressing that the heart of the initiative is not just education, but transformation: “The purpose of this is to touch and change lives.”
