Apostle Gift Chibuzor Chinyere Rejects Abandoned Children Brought To His Gate
On Sunday, September 14, 2025, Apostle Gift Chibuzor Chinyere of Omega Power Ministries (OPM) shared a story that left many people talking. Two children were reportedly dropped at the gate of his residence, and this time, the Apostle said he would not be taking them in.
Over the years, Apostle Chibuzor has become known across Nigeria for his generosity. He has taken in more than 500 abandoned children, providing them with food, shelter, and education. Many of these children have had their lives completely transformed through his ministry.
But in his latest statement, he drew the line:
“Another two children just abandoned at my gate. Watin be this? No, no. I will never accept them. Parents should go to Rumuokoro police station and claim their two children. More than 500 children is more than enough for me to carry. I no be father Abraham.”
Child abandonment has sadly become a recurring issue in Nigeria. While men of faith like Apostle Chibuzor have stepped in to help, caring for hundreds of children is not a task one person can continue to shoulder alone. His frustration reflects a larger problem, parents abandoning their responsibilities and leaving children to chance.
This situation also highlights the need for stronger support systems. The government, community leaders, and non-profit organizations must work hand in hand to protect vulnerable children and reduce cases like this.
The Apostle has directed that the children be reported at the Rumuokoro police station. It is now in the hands of the authorities to ensure the children are safe and to trace the parents. For many Nigerians, this is a wake-up call. Charity and goodwill are important, but long-term solutions will require responsible parenting, better child protection policies, and collective action.
Apostle Chibuzor’s story is a reminder that while compassion can change lives, society must rise to its responsibility so that no child is left abandoned at a stranger’s gate.
